BEING A CHRISTIAN STARTS TODAY

It's easy to know what God wants,
but it's hard to live what I know.
It's easy to know where to walk,
but it's hard to get up and go.
I answered His call some years ago,
but I'm beginning again today.
I said my, "Yes," before
and it's still the word I say.

Being a Christian starts today,
living my faith in every way.
I leave my doubts and I leave my fear,
and I know He's always near.
Being a Christian starts right now,
and Jesus has already shown me how.
I pick up my cross and stumble along
and to the world I sing His song.

Lord, it doesn't take much time
to know You own my heart.
But through these years of mistakes I've realized
I've only given You part.
I wish I wanted what You want,
I wish I prayed what You pray,
and with Your grace
I'll reach that point someday.
