God's Gift of Love

God's gift of love
it sets me free
to be to others
what He is to me
a new found strength
in time of need
a stern hand to plant the seed

God showed me love
and now I love
He forgave my sin
now I forgive
Jesus showed the way
and now I go
He gave His whole life
so now I give

God sent his only Son
to save my life
now I give of my life
for God to use
The Spirit touched me
and started the fire
that I may rekindle
the flames of others

God sends me forth
to feed the hungry
God sends me forth
to clothe the poor
God sends me forth
to heal the sick
God sends me forth
to show His love
